About Us

Community Hospice and Palliative Care (Community), a Michigan not-for-profit corporation, has been offering holistic health care alternatives to incurably ill patients and their families since 1981. Community began as a grass-roots organization founded by a handful of dedicated individuals whose only purpose was to serve the needs of terminally ill patients. Community is Joint Commission Accredited, Medicare certified and licensed by the State of Michigan to provide care in Wayne, Oakland, Washtenaw and Monroe Counties. Our comprehensive program addresses the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of care and is available to patients and their families 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The same gentle concern we show patients is expressed to their families and caregivers after the patient's death. A full range of adult and children's bereavement services are provided for a minimum of 13 months.

We offer….

  • Specialized care tailored to fit your specific, individual needs.
  • Our professional health care team who provide exceptional service.
  • Peace of mind, that you or your loved one can be cared for in comfortable surroundings of your choice.
  • Our services to all persons, without discrimination.

Our professional team will use state-of-the-art measures to control the distressing symptoms of your illness while allowing you to maintain your dignity and quality of life. Patients, families and caregivers become an integral part of our team and are encouraged to participate in all decisions regarding care.
